The Hotel in Hayle
You stay at a unique hotel which dates back to the 1830's, is steeped in history and has links to the likes of Trevithick and Brunel. It boasts its own Masonic Hall, bar and restaurant, and is furnished with interesting antiques and artefacts from Cornwall's rich and varied past. It also has its own ghost!
Hayle has a good selection of pubs and restaurants, a 3 mile long beach and a railway station.
The Hotel in Penzance
You stay at a hotel which dates back to the 17th century with links to Nelson. The public announcement of his death was made in the very room where breakfast is now served. There is a popular bar and Lady Hamilton's Restaurant.
Penzance has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and good transport links, including daily air and sea services to the Scilly Isles.
