Walking holiday on the Solent Way in Hampshire
Day 1: Arrive at Milford-on-Sea
To start your Hampshire walking holiday you make your own way to Milford-on-Sea. We can assist with coach or train transfers if necessary. Car parking is available for the duration of your self-guided coastal walking holiday.

Lymington on self-guided walking holiday on Solent Way in Hampshire Day 2: Milford-on-Sea to Lymington.    9 miles    easy
Leaving Milford-on-Sea you wander along the 1 ½ mile shingle spit to Hurst Castle and its fine views of the big ships entering the Solent. You pass through a coastal nature reserve and on to Lymington. There is plenty of time to enjoy the pubs and shops along the way.
Day 3: Lymington to Beaulieu.    10 miles   easy
As the path leaves Lymington it crosses the Lymington River and heads inland to the New Forest . The trail now enters Buckler's Hard with its famous 18th century village and Maritime Museum. On to Beaulieu with its Abbey and National Motor Museum. Lots to see and plenty of time.

River Hamble on self-guided walking holiday on Solent Way in Hampshire Day 4: Beaulieu to Hamble.    13 miles   easy
Heading out of Beaulieu the path climbs up onto Beaulieu Heath, then down into Hythe. Take the ferry across Southampton Water. The trail passes along the waterfront at Southampton with plenty of places to visit. On to the River Hamble famous for its yachts and fine views.
Day 5: Hamble to Gosport.    13 miles   easy
A splendid walk along the east side of Southampton Water with lots of opportunities for bird watching at the Hook-with-Warsach Nature Reserve and the Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve. As you reach Gosport you are aware of the legacy of navel history.

Emsworth on self-guided walking holiday on Solent Way in Hampshire Day 6: Gosport to Emsworth.    15 miles   easy
Take the ferry across the Portsmouth Harbour and perhaps visit the historic Dockyard and HMS Victory. The trail follows the waters edge full of wildlife, fine old waterside villages and old pubs to Emsworth.
Day 7: Depart after breakfast
Depart after breakfast or extend your holiday and spend some time in the area.
