Manor House....
whilst on our walking or cycling holiday of
the West Country of England.
Nestling on the North West edge of Dartmoor,
this beautiful small 15th Century Manor House, built of granite and covered
in creeper, stands in four acres of picturesque gardens and paddocks.
It was once owned by the Hamilton family and reputedly associated with
Lady Hamilton.
You can stay here for 2 or 3 nights whilst on our short break
walking or cycling holiday,
or for 7 nights on a weeks walking
or cycling holiday.
Passing down the drive, enjoy glorious views of magnificent countryside with the vista of Cornwall before you, and the ragged Tors of Dartmoor towering behind. Surrounded by sweeping lawns and flower beds, a sense of anticipation develops.
On entering the Manor into the Baronial Reception Hall, you are greeted by an immediate feeling of warmth and comfort.
Food is taken very seriously here, and you can enjoy a four course dinner with the best of local and home grown produce. The menu changes daily with the emphasis on the Best of British cooking, enhanced with Continental and Oriental influences. A selection of fine wines is available to make your satisfaction complete.
A vegetarian speciality is always on the menu, and individual diets can be accommodated.
