Day 1: Arrive at Torbay
You make your own way to Torbay. We can assist with coach or train transfers if necessary. Car parking is available for the duration of the walk.

The River Dart at Totnes, Devon on Walking holiday on the Dart Valley Trail in Devon Day 2: Torbay to Totnes.    10 miles    easy
You follow the South West Coast Path around Torquay Harbour to Cockington's famous thatched village and Cockington Court. Then walk the John Musgrave Heritage Trail to the most haunted castle in England, Berry Pomeroy Castle, and then on to the River Dart at Totnes.
Day 3: River Dart Boat Trip and Steam train to Buckfastleigh.    2 miles   easy
Today you can choose between trains and boats! Take the steam train on the South Devon Steam Railway along the River Dart to Buckfastleigh where you can visit the Butterfly Farm and Otter Sanctuary and Buckfast Abbey. Or take the Riverlink boat down the River Dart to Dartmouth.

Dittisham, Devon on Walking holiday on the Dart Valley Trail in Devon Day 4: Totnes to Dittisham.    9 miles   moderate
Follow the River Dart downstream and lunch at one of the pubs at Ashprington or Tuckenhay on Bow Creek. The walk today ends in the riverside village of Dittisham.
Day 5: Dittisham to Dartmouth via Greenway.    6 miles    moderate
Start the day with a ferry ride across the River Dart to the National Trust property of Greenway, one of the homes of Agatha Christie. The gardens are renowned for woodland shrubs and half-hardy plants. Continue on down the River Dart to Kingswear and finish with another ferry across to Dartmouth.

Dartmouth Castle, Devon on Walking holiday on the Dart Valley Trail in Devon Day 6: Dartmouth, walk to Coleton Fishacre, steam train to Paignton.
There are choices again today: you can visit Dartmouth Castle, or walk the South West Coast Path to the National Trust property of Coleton Fishacre, the house built by the D'Oyly Carte family and containing 24 acres of garden. Or take the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway from Kingswear to Paignton. Or take a river trip. So this really is a walking holiday catering for all interests.
