on the UK's Devon Coast to Coast (c2c) cycling route, with 4 or 5 nights accommodation and luggage transfer.

Following the UK National Cycle Network's 102 mile cycle route from Ilfracombe to Plymouth via Dartmoor, this cycling tour uses country lanes and traffic-free tracks with excellent surfaces to enable a truly enjoyable experience on one of Devon's and the UK's most popular cycling holiday routes.
Total ascents: 1,350 meters
From Ilfracombe, one of north Devon's most popular seaside resorts, you cycle along a picturesque estuary before joining the Tarka Trail and cycling towards Dartmoor. Cycling around the northern edge of Dartmoor you finally descend the wooded Plym Valley to Plymouth on the south Devon coast.
Day 1: Thursday 21st April: Arrive Ilfracombe
You make your own way to Ilfracombe for the start of this self-guided cycling holiday in Devon. We can assist with coach or train transfers if required. Car parking is also available.

Bideford, Devon Day 2: Good Friday: Ilfracombe to Bideford   31 miles
From Ilfracombe you cycle along a former railway track to Woolacombe where you will want to stop and enjoy the 3 miles of golden beach at Woolacombe Sands. Then you cycle down to Braunton where you join the Tarka Trail alongside the Taw Estuary to Bideford.
Day 3: Saturday 23rd April: Bideford to Okehampton    30 miles
You rejoin the traffic-free Tarka Trail cycle route again today along a former railway line beside the River Torridge, through tunnels and over bridges. Then you cycle through the undulating Devon country lanes to Okehampton. Visit Okehampton Castle and hear about how it was destroyed by Henry VIII.

Tavistock, Devon Day 4: Easter Sunday: Okehampton to Tavistock    20 miles
Today you cycle the Granite Way along the edge of Dartmoor. Then through the historic village of Lydford with its famous castle and gorge, and on to Tavistock, one of Devon's ancient stannary towns.

Day 5: Easter Monday: Tavistock to Plymouth    20 miles
After leaving Tavistock you cycle through the Walkham Valley. Then you join the Plym Valley Trail, another former railway line, all the way to Plymouth. On reaching the Plym Estuary you cycle around Sutton Harbour to the Barbican, then along the Hoe with spectacular views of Plymouth Sound. You can depart today or stay overnight in Plymouth.

Plymouth, Devon Day 6: Tuesday 26th April:  Leave after breakfast
or spend an extra night in Plymouth and take full advantage of all the area's attractions for an extra £39 per person.
