1: Arrive Ilfracombe or Plymouth You make your own way to Ilfracombe for the start of this self-guided cycling holiday in Devon. We can assist with coach or train transfers if required. If arriving by car, then arrive Plymouth where car parking is qvailable and we transfer you to Ilfracombe for your first night's stay. |

2: Ilfracombe to Bideford 31
miles From Ilfracombe you cycle along a former railway track to Woolacombe where you will want to stop and enjoy the 3 miles of golden beach at Woolacombe Sands. Then you cycle down to Braunton where you join the Tarka Trail alongside the Taw Estuary to Bideford. |

3: Bideford to Okehampton 30
miles You rejoin the traffic-free Tarka Trail cycle route again today along a former railway line beside the River Torridge, through tunnels and over bridges. Then you cycle through the undulating Devon country lanes to Okehampton. Visit Okehampton Castle and hear about how it was destroyed by Henry VIII. |
